About Local Urology

Local Urology is the home of a family of state urology directories. Each one lists the practicing urologists in that state found in federal Medicare records, county by county, with moderated patient reviews.

It is run by urologists. We built it because patients should hear about modern, minimally invasive treatments before they choose a doctor, and should be able to find the urologists other patients rate highest.

Ownership and disclosure

Local Urology and its state sites are owned and operated by NYMD Center (New York Medicine Doctors, PLLC), a multi-specialty physician group based in New York City. The group includes urologists, including David Shusterman, MD, who medically reviews the treatment guides. None of the physicians listed on the state sites is affiliated with us unless a listing says so. Listings are free. Any paid placement is always labeled, and payment never affects ratings or which reviews are published.
