Coming from Miami or South Florida

For a flight-based trip, discuss whether multiple visits, a local stay or a companion may be needed before purchasing tickets. If a procedure is proposed, the treating team must give specific guidance on recovery, travel timing and follow-up.

Keep follow-up close to home

Ask which follow-up requires a return to New York and which parts can be coordinated with your existing clinician. Confirm who receives results, who answers questions after the visit, and what to do if a new concern arises when you are home.
